After you delete your account, you can sign up again with the same username or add that username to another account as long as it hasn’t been stolen by a new Instagram user.

Keep in mind that if your account is terminated for breaking Community Guidelines, you may not be allowed to re-register using the same identity.

Your account and all of your information will be permanently wiped 30 days after you request deletion, and you will not be able to retrieve it. During those 30 days, the content is subject to Instagram’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and is not available to other Instagram users.
